WHEN WAS YOUR VERY FIRST EQUESTRIAN COMPETITION? I WAS 14 AND IT WAS WITH MY FIRST HORSE, FLAMENCO. IT WAS A VERY EMOTIONAL MOMENT BECAUSE IT WAS MY DREAM TO COMPETE WITH THIS HORSE THAT MY PARENTS HAD BOUGHT AND I WON MY VERY FIRST SHOW WITH HIM! IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL MOMENT.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER? THE BEST MEMORIES ARE THE ONES I HAVE FROM BEING WITH MY HORSES. BUT I HAVE HAD INCREDIBLE MOMENTS AT THE WORLD CUP FINAL IN GENEVA WITH MY MARE ZEKINA, AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH PABLO DE VIRTON OR WHEN I WAS THE ONLY SWISS RIDER TO HAVE A CLEAR-ROUND IN THE NATIONS CUP.
IF YOU HAD NOT GONE INTO HORSE RIDING, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE DONE? i’m not from an equestrian family; they have just followed me into my passion. i have studied sports economics in bern and at the end i chose to pursue a career in show jumping at the highest level. I don’t see myself doing anything else.
YOU TRAVEL A LOT. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CITY? with longines as my sponsor i am lucky to travel to some of the most beautiful cities in the world: shanghai, madrid, paris… I also love my country, but my favorite place of all is my home in turin.
WHICH OBJECT DO YOU ALWAYS KEEP WITH YOU? it’s not an object but rather people who are very important to ME: my family, especially my husband and my son, who are always with me and support me immensely.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE ATHLETE? as a human being and A sportsman, roger federer.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PIECE OF MUSIC? i listen to all types of music and rummage the latest hits with my SON! i really like happy and positive songs.
DO YOU PREFER THE BEACH OR THE MOUNTAINS? I like BOTH! i love to swim and i love to ski. i was born in the mountains but the beach is wonderful too. i would say winter in the mountains and summer at the beach.
WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT BEDTIME READING? I READ A LOT ABOUT HORSES. THE LAST BOOK I READ WAS WRITTEN BY FRENCH RIDER MICHEL ROBERT.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FILM? i watch mostly cartoons with my son.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COCKTAIL? i don’t drink much alcohol, but if i have to pick something it will be a spritz.
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR IDEAL SUNDAY? at home with my family and my horses.
WHAT IS YOUR EVERYDAY CAR? AND YOUR DREAM CAR? i drive a vw golf but in my dreams i would like to have the best porsche - I mean the best horse that would allow me to compete in the olympics!
