FIDEL’S FAVOURITE IS 50 YEARS OLD
Cohiba
To celebrate its half century, the cigar brand Cohiba – Fidel Castro’s favourite, as whispered in Cuba – launched a series of 50 very exclusive humidors, each piece decorated in the front with 24 carat golden tobacco leaves.

The humidor contains 50 cigars from a very particular assembly, composed of 5 tobacco leaves, each of a different variety. Only four pieces of this Cohiba 50 Aniversario, with a value above 200.000 € each, have been sold in the Benelux. The N°1 of the series was purchased by Cohiba Atmosphere in Antwerp, an initiative of Reza Valibalouch, who is also the owner of Casa del Habano on Ernest Van Dijckkaai. Cohiba Atmosphere is a “members only” lounge and its name is a registered worldwide trademark owned by Corporation Habanos S.A.
The Cohiba humidor (47 cm x 65,5 cm x 31 cm) was manufactured by atelier Elie Bleu in Paris. A gold standard for insiders.
The inner temperature of the cigar box can be managed remotely via smartphone or tablet, thanks to an app that is directly connected to a sensor placed inside the humidor. Each piece is numbered and its owner can have his name engraved on it.
