Horsealot

An international network for riders

Share your knowledge, get inspired and connect with thousands of riders throughout the world, such is the vocation of this unique community.

Longines World’s Best Racehorse

Launched in 2015 by young French rider, Alexandra Martel, this original app has reached a remarkable success from the start – with nowadays over 130.000 riders on the platform. A justified recognition for a remarkable personal initiative: the reason why Alexandra has put together this project is her passion for horses and her desire to give the equestrian world something that “matters”.

Increase your network

« When you’re riding horses, you’re learning since you’re 6 and until you are 70 years old”, Alexandra says, “because knowledge is endless”. Nevertheless, most of the time you evolve within a restricted circle of riders. “The idea behind Horsealot is to connect with riders from all over the world, whether they ride Hunters in the United States, Show Jumping in France or Polo in Argentina”, she continues. Through Horsealot everyone can share their vision of equestrian sports, as well as their own experiences. The result? An amazing and very interesting pool of shared knowledge.

Our purpose is to create a new approach to the way riders share experiences, a community filled with inspiration, lifestyle and passion.

An original, not to be missed rendez-vous

Horsealot aims at bringing committed amateurs closer to the backstage life of professional riders. Therefore, the so called ASK sessions are organised every Wednesday, allowing members to ask questions to a renowned guest. And this has a huge success. Well-known brands, Olympic riders, personalities, veterinarians, amongst others, are invited to answer questions related to a specific subject for 2 hours. “Horsealot users are active riders and the majority compete officially and own their horses”, says Alexandra. This explains the excellent spirit within this community: “the exchange amongst members is positive and benevolent, without judgement, and we can feel there’s a real desire to help one another”.

A lot of questions

Practically, a rider who downloads the app joins the network and can start asking questions on subjects related to the equestrian universe – what’s new in terms of equipment, technical tips, the lifestyle of a rider or the well-being of their horse. Subjects are varied. How to treat or avoid a horse foot tendonitis, how to prepare a good warm-up for a jump-off, what kind of nutrition to choose, what type of equipment, these are all part of the multiple subjects discussed daily. Technical aspects are also often discussed – how to have a steady hand grip, lower your heels, have your legs correctly placed – as well as everything related to the highest level and equestrian events.

‘A Day in the life of…’: a series of videos where Horsealot proposes a sneak-peek into one day in the life of champions with extraordinary profiles, such as Jessica Springsteen or Mavis Spencer: https://www.horsealot.com/fr/a-day-in-the-life-of
